Dear colleagues!
The State Scientific and Technical Library of Ukraine, in collaboration with TIB - Leibniz Information Centre for Science and Technology and the University Library, with the support of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, invites you to participate in the II International Conference "Open Science and Innovation in Ukraine 2023," which will take place online on October 26-27, 2023. The event will be held as part of the International Open Access Week 2023 (https://www.openaccessweek.org/theme/uk).

Aim of the II International Scientific Conference "Open Science and Innovation in Ukraine 2023" is to stimulate dialogue among stakeholders of the scientific community to discuss practical aspects of implementing the principles of open science and innovation in Ukraine. The conference aims to explore viable solutions to address pressing issues such as uninterrupted access to research infrastructure, free access to full-text scholarly publications, the need to reform the system of research evaluation, and accelerate the integration of Ukrainian science into the European Research Area by aligning with European Union policies on open science and data exchange formats. The discussions and presentations will result in a list of recommendations for higher education institutions and research establishments. These recommendations will contribute to the implementation of practical measures and policies to support open science and innovation in Ukraine. The event serves as an open platform for exchanging experiences, ideas, and knowledge, promoting scientific progress, and fostering the development of the Ukrainian scientific community.

Target Audience

Conference Panels
OSIU2023 is a forum for the presentation and discussion of ideas related to fundamental or specific aspects of open science and innovation. SUPRR (Supporting Ukrainian Publishing Resilience and Recovery) aims to provide support mechanisms to the Ukrainian publishing industry by building virtual bridges between the Ukrainian and Western publishing communities.
SUPRR is building a network of organizations and individuals that can deliver real and tangible assistance. SUPRR’s strategy is to develop and deliver on projects that make an impact and help Ukraine publishing remain resilient during the time of war and more importantly to emerge into a strong and equal participant of the market after the war as part of reconstruction and the EU accession process.
